Job summary

G & C Auto Body is hiring an Auto Body Shop Apprentice in Chico, CA. The role focuses on learning the trade under experienced painters, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and overtime as needed.

The position offers entry-level pay of $18.00 per hour, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and life/AD&D insurance, plus commuter and EAP programs. No prior experience required; training to journeyman level is provided.

• Background check and drug screen required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Paint preppers are responsible for priming, blocking and polishing cars.
• You may also be responsible for jamming.
• If you are able to do some painting that is a plus!

This position is Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm with a 30 minute lunch. Overtime as needed.

Selected Auto Body Shop Apprentice applicants will earn:

• Pay: $18.00/hour . (The Paint Prepper Apprentice position has a pay scale that consists of the following elements and ranges. Wages include base hourly compensation of between 18 and 20 )
