Job summary

Colton RV is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join the Body Shop team as an Apprentice Auto Body Technician/Prepper. This is a great opportunity to start a career in RV body repair and paint while working alongside experienced technicians who will train and mentor you.

In this role you’ll assist with prep work, fiberglass repairs, and daily shop operations while learning the skills needed to grow into a Body Technician.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive or auto body experience preferred.
• Recent graduates of an auto body or collision repair program are encouraged.
• Interest in auto body, collision repair, or hands-on mechanical work.
• Basic knowledge of body shop tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Body Technician with prep for paint, including sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces.
• Support fiberglass repair processes and general body shop tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Research parts needed for repairs.
• Assist with ordering parts and ensure accuracy upon arrival.
• Move units and materials as needed within the shop.
• Follow all safety procedures and Colton quality standards.
