The role requires inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing estimates, and collaborating with insurers, service writers, and technicians to determine repair scopes and costs while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto estimating, auto body repair or automotive repair with an understanding of vehicle structures.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to identify underlying issues during appraisal.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with insurers, writers and technicians.
• Ability to review repair scopes and costs and provide clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess auto body and mechanical repairs needed.
• Prepare auto estimating reports using industry tools and software.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters, service writers, and repair technicians to understand repair scopes and costs.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify issues affecting safety or performance during appraisal.
• Provide clear recommendations for auto body repair.
• Maintain documentation of assessments, estimates, and negotiations for transparency.
• Support service management by aligning appraisal processes with company standards and best practices.
