Job summary

VIVE Collision of Lehigh Valley is hiring an Auto Body Disassembly & Reassembly Technician in Allentown, PA. The role requires at least 1 year of auto body experience and offers hands-on work in a growing collision repair shop.

You’ll work with experienced technicians, gain exposure to the full repair process, and receive paid I-CAR and OEM training to elevate your skills and career path.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of auto body/collision repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physical requirements.
• Comfortable reading basic repair instructions and work orders.
• Detail-oriented and dependable in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Disassembling vehicles to identify damage.
• Inspect parts during the blueprinting process.
• Documenting damage and communicating findings to the estimator or production manager.
• Performing light repairs such as sanding, finishing, and minor bumper work.
• Reassembling repaired vehicles, including moldings, trim, and detail pieces.
• Assisting body technicians with reassembly as needed.
• Ensuring vehicles are put back together correctly and ready for the next stage of the repair process.

What You’ll Earn

$19–$23/hour, based on experience, certifications, and location.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play an important role in helping vehicles move efficiently through the repair process. Your day may include:

• Disassembling vehicles to identify hidden or additional damage
• Inspecting parts and components during the blueprinting process
• Helping identify additional parts or repairs needed
• Documenting damage and communicating findings to the estimator or production manager
• Performing light, non-structural repairs such as sanding, finishing, and minor bumper work
• Reassembling repaired vehicles, including moldings, trim, and detail pieces
• Assisting body technicians with reassembly as needed
• Making sure vehicles are put back together correctly and ready for the next stage of the repair process

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know everything—we’re looking for someone with a solid foundation who’s ready to keep learning.

• 1+ year of auto body/collision repair experience
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Auto Body/Vo-Tech education is a plus
• Comfortable using basic tools and working around vehicles
• Able to read basic repair instructions, estimates, and work orders
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced shop
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of collision repair work
