Cherry Collision - Millville, powered by VIVE is seeking an Auto Body Disassembly & Reassembly Technician in Millville, NJ. You will disassemble, inspect, document, and assess vehicles for hidden damage to support accurate repair planning and efficient production.

This full-time role offers paid training and opportunities to earn industry certifications (I-CAR & OEM), with growth potential as you gain experience in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year body repair experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• HS diploma or GED required; Vo-Tech cert preferred.
• I-CAR and OEM training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles following DFR procedures.
• Inspect for structural and hidden damage.
• Complete full vehicle disassembly to support repair planning.
• Document damage, parts, and fasteners.
• Communicate with Production Manager/Estimator about needed parts.
• Assist with vehicle reassembly as needed.
• Perform light non-structural repairs and refinishing.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Move vehicles as needed within the shop.

Position Summary

The Disassembly Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, documenting, and assessing vehicles for hidden damage to support accurate repair planning and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow the company blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicle inspections.
• Disassemble vehicles after the initial estimate and inspect for structural and hidden damage.
• Complete full vehicle disassembly to support a 100% repair plan.
• Document all additional damage, required parts, blend panels, moldings, clips, and one-time-use fasteners.
• Communicate supplemental damage and parts needed to the Production Manager/Estimator.
• Assist with vehicle reassembly as needed.
• Perform light non-structural repairs including sanding, finishing, and minor bumper repairs.
• Reinstall moldings, trims, and finishing components.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Occasionally move or operate customer or company vehicles within the shop or on company premises (e.g., pulling vehicles in/out of stalls, repositioning for repair stages) as needed to support collision repair operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year body repair experience.
• A valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) are required.
• High school diploma or GED required; Auto Body Vo-Tech certification preferred.
• I-CAR and OEM training preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read repair orders, estimates, and work instructions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
