Job summary

Ben's Auto Body, powered by VIVE Collision in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an Auto Body Technician to join a shop with top equipment and paid training. You will perform bolt-on and weld-on panel repairs, follow OEM procedures, and work at a flat rate of $28.00–$30.00 with a potential $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of auto body collision repair experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred.
• I-CAR and OEM certifications or training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement and repair of bolt-on and weld-on panels in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
• Execute structural and non-structural repairs, including airbag replacement and minor mechanical work as needed.
• Meet or exceed company performance standards for technician efficiency, cycle time, and quality to ensure on-time vehicle delivery and low return rates.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Production Managers and Estimators regarding repair progress, vehicle status, and supplemental needs.
• Follow all safety protocols, utilize required PPE, and adhere to repair procedures and hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
• When applicable, test drive vehicles after repairs to verify safe operation and compliance with repair standards.

$28.00 - $30.00 Flat Rate + Up to $10k Sign on Bonus for qualified technicians.

Pay varies based on experience, certifications, location, and performance.

Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available only to candidates who meet the requirements of a qualified “A-Level” Technician. Bonus eligibility and payout schedule will be determined and discussed during the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform replacement and repair of bolt-on and weld-on panels in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
• Execute structural and non-structural repairs, including airbag replacement and minor mechanical work as needed
• Meet or exceed company performance standards for technician efficiency, cycle time, and quality to ensure on-time vehicle delivery and low return rates
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Production Managers and Estimators regarding repair progress, vehicle status, and supplemental needs
• Follow all safety protocols, utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to proper repair procedures and hazardous waste disposal guidelines
• When applicable, test drive vehicles after repairs to verify safe operation, compliance with repair standards, and the quality and effectiveness of completed work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper tool return and management of parts and materials

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of auto body collision repair experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• I-CAR and OEM certifications or training preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Must supply own tools in good working condition
• Knowledge of and adherence to manufacturer and dealership safety guidelines and standards
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret repair instructions, written estimates, and work orders
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
