Job summary

VIVE Collision is seeking an experienced Auto Body Collision Repair Technician to join a busy New Castle shop. The role offers steady work, modern equipment, paid training, and opportunities for advancement within a growing company.

You will perform structural, body, frame, and unibody repairs, assist estimators with accurate estimates, and ensure high-quality workmanship. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of auto body collision repair experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
  • I-CAR and OEM certifications or training preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED; Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
  • Must supply your own tools in good working condition.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read repair instructions and work orders.
  • Fast-paced environment adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform replacement and repair of bolt-on and weld-on panels per standards.
  • Execute structural and non-structural repairs, including airbag replacement and minor mechanical work.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards for efficiency, cycle time, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Production Managers and Estimators on repair progress and needs.
  • Follow safety protocols and use PPE; proper waste disposal.
  • Test drive vehicles post-repair when applicable to verify safety and quality.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area, including tool and parts management.

Position Summary

The Technician is responsible for fixing a vehicle after it’s been damaged. You will perform structural quality, body, frame, and unibody repairs. Assisting the estimator with accurate estimates and minimizing the need for supplements. Understanding the repair vs replacement process is important in the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform replacement and repair of bolt-on and weld-on panels in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
  • Execute structural and non-structural repairs, including airbag replacement and minor mechanical work as needed
  • Meet or exceed company performance standards for technician efficiency, cycle time, and quality to ensure on-time vehicle delivery and low return rates
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Production Managers and Estimators regarding repair progress, vehicle status, and supplemental needs
  • Follow all safety protocols, utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to proper repair procedures and hazardous waste disposal guidelines
  • When applicable, test drive vehicles after repairs to verify safe operation, compliance with repair standards, and the quality and effectiveness of completed work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper tool return and management of parts and materials

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of auto body collision repair experience.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) are required.
  • I-CAR and OEM certifications or training preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Must supply your own tools in good working conditions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret repair instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
