Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Bodily Injury to analyze and process complex auto bodily injury and commercial transportation claims, determine liability, assess damages, and ensure timely resolution in line with client requirements.

The ideal candidate has five years of claims management experience, a strong knowledge of auto policies, and excellent communication skills. The role includes coordination with independent adjusters, handling litigation, and supporting quality programs.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverage, principles, and laws.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto, commercial, and personal line claims; ensures files are properly documented and coded.
• Responsible for litigation processes on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers.
• Develops action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.
