Job summary

Multicultural Community Services of the Pioneer Valley Inc. in Springfield, MA, seeks Direct Support Professionals for the Family Supports Program (Autism Program). Positions include One-to-One and Group Respite Staff with hours varying by participant needs and program activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with Autism or related human services experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, responsible, and professional.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record preferred.
• Ability to participate in community-based activities and meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.

• Commitment to supporting participant choice, independence, and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to participants in community settings.
• Plan and participate in social and recreational activities based on participants' interests.
• Supervise group outings and activities to ensure safety.
• Maintain safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and team members.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
• Help participants develop skills for independence and community engagement.
