Job summary

ServiceNet is seeking an Individual Support Specialist 1 for Adult Autism Support Programs. This per-diem, part-time role covers Amherst, Easthampton, Florence and Hadley.

Pay is $18.50 per hour with mileage reimbursement and cooperative scheduling for regular days and hours. Responsibilities include engaging individuals in social and skill-building activities, accompanying to appointments, and documenting activities while ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience supporting individuals with Autism.

Responsibilities

• Engage, assist, instruct, motivate and monitor individuals in social/recreational, skill building and family directed activities.
• Learn the individualized services of each person and participate in their routine implementation.
• Accompany individual to appointments, social functions, recreational activities and other planned events as requested by the supervisor, to include providing transportation.
• Complete related records as required and instructed by supervisor per standard format ensuring confidentiality and safe keeping of documents.
• Respond and relate to routine inquiries, visitors, the Individual’s family, friends and allied staff or professionals as outlined in program standards or by the program supervisor.
• Submit weekly or bi-weekly time sheets with summaries of activities in a timely manner.
