Zusammenfassung

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Special Education Teacher - Autistic Support for the CHAAMP program in Downingtown. The CHAAMP program uses ABA strategies to prepare students with autism for greater independence in real-world settings, with a 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio and 1:1 behavior mentor support.

The role requires PA Special Education certification, 3–5 years of Autism/ABA experience, and community-based programming design skills.

Qualifikationen

PA Certification in Special Education N-12 or 7-12 required.
3–5 years of Autism and ABA experience preferred.
Experience with designing community-based programming preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of election.
De-escalation and restraint training required within the first 3 months.
Current child abuse, criminal history, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Clearance as an MA provider by the federal government and commonwealth of PA.

Use IEPs to guide instruction and daily living/prevocational activities.
