Job summary

Open Sky Community Services Inc. seeks Team Coaches to help individuals acquire coping skills for anxiety, build self-advocacy and job readiness, and develop independent living skills in home and community settings.

Role emphasizes person-centered relationships, collaboration with clinicians, and flexible crisis support. Candidates should bring a bachelor’s in human services with ASD/mental health experience; a master's may substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with 5 years’ ASD/mental illness experience.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must relate effectively to staff and handle crisis with stability and flexibility.
• Master’s degree can substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with persons served, staff, families and other stakeholders to develop shared understanding of goals.
• Build person-centered, non-judgmental supportive relationships.
• Help individuals acquire coping skills for anxiety and self-monitoring and escalation as needed.
• Assist individuals to increase interest and fluency in social and community activities and develop independent living skills.
• Refer to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, and housing/entitlements support.
• Maintain confidential files and utilize electronic health records; collaborate with treatment team.
