Lifes WORC is seeking a Part-Time Direct Care Staff for weekend shifts in West Babylon, NY 11704. The role offers a Saturday/Sunday 7A-5P schedule with pay between $21.00 and $22.57 per hour, depending on prior NYS OPWDD program experience.

Responsibilities include oversight, implementing residential plans, data-driven behavior support, and assisting individuals with daily living activities. Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and driver’s license.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience supporting people with Autism.
• Prior experience assisting persons with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide ongoing protective oversight to individuals living in the residence.
• Implementation of Residential Habilitation Plans.
• Implement innovative Behavior Support Plans with effectiveness and efficiency ensuring that accurate data is being collected to measure each person’s progress.
• Provide assistance and instruction to each individual in basic activities of daily living.
• Provide training and support for each individual in accordance with the individual program plan.
• Provide assistance and instruction to each individual in basic activities of daily living which could include two person lift of individuals where necessary
• Scheduling flexibility. May be required to work beyond the normal shift.
• Drive agency vans that are equipped with GPS monitoring systems and demonstrate safe driving practices. Ensure cleanliness of vehicles. Maintain vehicle logs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment. Proper use and maintenance of household equipment and appliances.

• The pay rate range for this position is $21.00-$22.57 per hour depending on years of prior experience with NYS OPWDD programs.

Requirements for this position are:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year experience supporting people with Autism
• Prior experience assisting persons with developmental disabilities preferred
