Job summary

Golden Years Homemakers & Companions, Inc. seeks Autism Direct Support staff to assist clients with daily living, hygiene, communication and socialization in the Greater Hartford Area.

You will help manage behavior, teach safer alternatives, and support community outings. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid/medication administration certifications, and at least 6 months of direct autism experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR, First Aid and medication administration certifications are required.
• Direct support certified is preferred.
• Minimum 6 months direct autism experience is required.

• Keep accurate time sheet logs and adhering to a person-centered notes

Eligibility Requirements of Autism Support Staff:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• additional certifications in CPR, First Aid and medication administration, PMT

• direct support certified,

• Minimum 6 months direct autism experience

• Must have personal transportation

• Must pass state and federal background check

• Bilingual preferred
