Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Must acquire and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Meet one of the education requirements listed: two years of post-secondary study, an associate degree or higher, or PDE Para Educator Credential.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce skill development with individuals or groups as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Monitor and direct activities for students as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist with students' physical needs when appropriate.
• Provide safe supervision in all school settings and support positive behavior.
• Perform clerical tasks as assigned by teachers and building administrator(s).
• Support instructional staff to reinforce educational skills and daily living activities.
