A Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct behavioral therapy to autistic children and young adults using applied behavior analysis (ABA). ABA is a scientific, evidence-based approach to understanding and modifying human behavior. Behavior Technicians use ABA to change lives!

Advanced Behavioral Therapy (ABT) provides ABA therapy for children on the autism spectrum in Ohio and New Jersey, in homes, schools, and centers in Beachwood and Columbus.

  • Competitive pay up to $25/hour
  • Flexible schedules (15-40 hours/week)
  • Center-based, in-home, or hybrid services

  • Mileage reimbursement and limited travel within a 15-mile radius
Position Details

Location: Columbus, OH (and surrounding areas)

Service Locations: Center, In-Home, Community, Daycare, School

Operating Hours:

  • In-Home: Mon-Fri, 8am-7:30pm
  • Center: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one therapy to individuals with ASD
  • Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
  • Address communication, social, self-care, safety, routines, motor skills, and maladaptive behaviors
  • Collect and record client progress data
  • Write detailed session notes
  • Assist in developing treatment goals
  • Collaborate with team to maintain a positive environment
  • Follow safety protocols and confidentiality standards
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background check
Required Skills
  • Experience working with children (e.g., paraprofessional, teacher, childcare, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of ASD
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Willing to complete free RBT training (40 hours online)
