Marshall County Schools seeks an Autism Mentor Aide to support students in the special education program, including bus duties, classroom assistance, and health-related tasks under nurse supervision.

The role requires WV DOE Autism Mentor qualifications or the commitment to obtain certification within two years, plus high school diploma and health training such as CPI, CPR/AED, and food handler's certification.

Qualificações

• Must meet WV Department of Education Autism Mentor qualifications or be willing to obtain certification within two years.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Yearly CPI, CPR/AED, and Food handler's training are required as a condition of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Ride the bus to assist students with boarding, riding, and disembarking.
• Assist the teacher with classroom instruction and student support.
• Provide medical care under nurse supervision, including catheterization, suctioning, or tube feeding as trained.
• Perform approved health care procedures and maintain medical training as directed by the nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow county policies; support emergency management and supervision across settings.
