Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Special Education Aide - Autism to assist teachers in daily instruction and care of eligible students with disabilities. As a paraprofessional, you will work under the teacher’s direction to monitor instructional, personal, and behavioral needs of students.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, supporting small group instruction, and collecting data for teachers while assisting with behavior support and classroom management.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Apply common sense in following directions and instructions.
• Perform basic arithmetic and interpret simple charts/graphs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing IEPs under teacher direction and supervise students in small groups.
• Support instruction and re-teach/ review lessons as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Attend to needs of students with disabilities, including basic hygiene and use of assistive devices.
• Escort and supervise students during arrival, transitions, and departure.
• Collect and report student performance data and maintain classroom records and materials.
