Job summary

The Ionia County Intermediate School District is hiring an ASD Health Care Aide to support students in district classrooms. You will assist teachers, implement behavior plans, and help create a positive educational environment for autistic students.

Responsibilities include providing physical support, monitoring behavior data, preparing incident reports, and supervising students during arrival, lunch, field trips and recess.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to interact with professionals and health care aides.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical support to students with varying strength.
• Implement behavior intervention programs and monitor data.
• Follow the behavior plan exactly as written by district staff.
• Supervise students during arrival, departure, lunch, field trips and recess.
