Job summary

The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) seeks an ASD Consultant to improve academic learning, communication, socialization, and independence for students with autism across ages from preschool through adulthood. The consultant will work with education teams comprised of parents, local district staff, LISD staff, and agency staff.

Required qualifications include ASD certification or willingness to obtain, at least 3 years of ASD experience, and strong public speaking and group training

Qualifications

• ASD certification required or willing to obtain certification (Interdisciplinary Certificate or ACE endorsement)
• At least 3 years experience working with students with ASD
• Good presence and public speaking skills and willingness to develop trainings

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with education teams including parents, local district staff, LISD staff and agency staff
• Support learning, communication, socialization, and independence for students with ASD across ages
• Participate in trainings and public speaking engagements as needed
