Job summary

Springfield Public Schools is seeking a qualified professional to join the Office of Exceptional Learning to support students with ASD. The role participates on the Evaluation team, assists in developing Individualized Education Plans, and coordinates instructional services for students in both general and special education settings.

You will train staff, attend regional DOE trainings, provide parent workshops, and conduct formative and diagnostic assessments to inform supports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
BCBA certification or DESE license in related fields may be considered.
Experience in a K-12 educational environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates on the Evaluation team and assists in developing IEPs and services for students with ASD.
Staff training and consultation on meeting needs of students with ASD in general and special education.
Attend regional trainings and meetings pertinent to educating students with autism.
Provide parent training and support through consultations and group workshops for students with ASD.
Conduct formative and diagnostic assessments for informing supports.
Develop data collection tools to facilitate FBA and BIP for students.
Assist in developing programs and services for students with ASD in the Springfield Public Schools.
