Job summary

Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) seeks an Autism Specialist with BCBA preferred to support middle school students in the SEZP region. The role focuses on IEP development, ASD interventions, staff training, and family engagement across SEZP schools.

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's in a related field, with a Master’s preferred, and a BCBA or DESE license from a related field. A signing bonus and relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• BCBA preferred or DESE license in Severe/Moderate Disabilities required or considered with other DESE licenses.
• Experience in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in best practices for educating students with ASD.

Responsibilities

• Participates on the Evaluation team and assists in developing IEPs and services for students with ASD.
• Staff training and consultation on meeting ASD needs in general and special education settings.
• Attend regional trainings and Department of Education meetings related to educating students with autism.
• Provide parent training and support through consultations and group workshops for students with ASD.
• Conduct formative and diagnostic assessments to provide information on students.
• Develop data collection tools to support Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans for students.
• Assist in developing appropriate programs and services for students with ASD in SPS.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field

Master's degree preferred

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred or DESE license in Severe/Moderate Disabilities
