Sanilac County CMH is seeking a dedicated technician to support individuals with developmental needs. The role involves guiding participants in skill development and community integration, under supervision, within various program settings.

Applicants should have a GED and be able to obtain DCH certification within three months. Some experience with ASD is preferred, and work hours are 40 per week on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Must obtain DCH Certification within three months of hire.
• One year working with individuals with ASD preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide adequate supervision and assistance to program participants to ensure health and safety.
• Prepare training environments and schedules aligned with program needs.
• Support individuals in community and work settings to promote independence.
• Administer medication when needed under agency guidelines and supervise self-administration where applicable.
• Maintain documentation including progress notes and incident reports as required.
