Job summary

Behavioral Health Works is expanding its team and seeking an ASP Intervention Specialist for the Cincinnati area. You will deliver autism-focused education and behavioral services, aligning daily lessons with IEP goals and collaborating with districts to renew IEPs.

The role emphasizes using the Unique Learning System, supporting RBTs/IAs, and coordinating with BCBA supervision. Full-time schedule, strong benefits, and professional development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • RESA certification for disabilities (Mild–Mod or Mod–Intense) is required.
  • Experience delivering educational services with behavioral intervention.
  • Ability to identify and assess students’ educational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Unique Learning System to plan, adjust, and implement daily lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with school districts to ensure annual IEP renewals.
  • Draft proposed IEP goals and submit them to districts in a timely manner.
  • Attend IEP and AEP meetings, including initial and annual renewals.
  • Enter IEP goals and targets into internal systems.
  • Create instructional materials for RBTs/IAs to support goal implementation.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust goals as necessary.
  • Collaborate with BCBA(s) to ensure consistency across educational and behavioral programming.
  • Supervise students and RBTs/IAs during daily classroom activities.
  • Provide direction and coaching to RBTs/IAs on instructional techniques.
  • Complete quarterly progress reports through the Ohio DOE portal.
  • Navigate and utilize OH|ID Portal.

Requirements
  • Successfully finished RESA prior to employment beginning; hold certification for Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Intense disabilities
  • Demonstrated background in providing educational services to learners needing behavioral intervention
  • Identify and assess students’ unique educational needs
  • Utilize Unique Learning System to plan, adjust, and implement daily lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Collaborate with school districts to ensure annual IEP renewals

Expected hours:Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule:
  • We are open 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday-Friday, providing services within the center.
