Job summary

Life's WORC in Amity Harbor, NY is seeking an Autism Support Professional to provide direct care in a residential setting. The role covers oversight, participation in personalized plans, and hands-on training for residents.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour schedule (Mon-Thurs 2p-10p; Sun 3p-11p) and pay at $21 per hour, with potential increases to $22.57 during shifts. A valid driver's license and experience with autism or related disabilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism
• Ability to support people with Autism and people who may display challenging behaviors
• SCIP Certified preferred
• Successfully complete the medication administration (AMAP) course and annual recertification
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to learn how to document services electronically
• Valid Driver’s License required

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight to people living in the residence
• Implement Person Centered Residential Habilitation Plans
• Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the individual personalized program plan
• Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work beyond the normal shiftDrive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices
