Job summary

The Ionia County Intermediate School District is seeking an Autism Program Teacher to deliver high quality, specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. The teacher will develop and implement IEPs, plan daily activities, monitor progress, and collaborate with staff, health care aides, agencies, parents and administrators.

Qualified candidates will hold a Michigan teaching certificate with MDE approval in special education; ABA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate in special education (endorsement areas considered)
• Training/experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
• Ability to plan and motivate students across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains
• Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and community

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, specially designed instruction to students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement student IEPs and daily instructional plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Consult with staff, health care aides, agencies, parents and administrators.
