Job summary

Keystone Human Services is seeking a Job Developer in Mechanicsburg, PA to provide individualized employment support for individuals with autism, focusing on inclusion and community participation. This is a full-time, non-exempt role that pays $24 per hour.

Responsibilities include meeting with participants to create employment plans, conducting assessments, building employer relationships, and providing on-site coaching and post-placement support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation, Business, Marketing, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Associate’s degree and one year of related work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with two years related work experience.
• Ability to obtain ACER certification or equivalent within 6 months of employment.
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre‑employment process, including clearances and verifications.

• Assists with job development and negotiation to support hiring, onboarding, and post-placement retention
• Works with individuals to set employment goals, develop work strategies, and build skills for independence
• Provides on-site job training, coaching, and ongoing support to help individuals learn duties and integrate into the workplace
• Mentors, coaches, and collaborates with staff supporting individuals at job sites
• Supports individuals in arranging reliable transportation options to access work
• Establishes natural workplace supports to encourage independence and long‑term relationships
• Maintains timely, clear, and consistent communication with employers, participants, families, staff, and management

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a Job Developer to join our team in providing individualized, person-directed support in the area of Autism. The Job Developer provides personalized employment services to support individuals in preparing for, securing, and maintaining meaningful work. This role includes assessing each participant’s interests, skills, and support needs. The Job Developer collaborates closely with team members, participants, and their families to create employment plans that align with each person’s goals.

Through ongoing coaching and problem‑solving, the Job Developer helps participants achieve and sustain their employment objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• One of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation, Business, Marketing, Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Associate’s degree and one year of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of work experience related to job assessment, job finding, or employment supports
• Ability to obtain Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) certification or equivalent within 6 months of employment
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills
• Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
• Successful completion of the pre‑employment process, including clearances and verifications
