Positive Development is seeking a Part-Time Child Development Specialist to work one-on-one with autistic children in Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas. Direct Pay ranges from $22–$28 per hour, with additional admin pay of $20 per hour.

You will be mentored by clinicians and supported in your growth within a clinical team. The role emphasizes active coaching, family collaboration, and a consistent schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including playing on the floor for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Strong communication with families and teammates is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and activities.
• Create meaningful connections that foster engagement and growth.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve outcomes with fewer session hours.
• Track progress by documenting session notes and goals.
