Job summary

Goodwill Gulf Coast is seeking a Family Support Specialist to assist in the Autism Clinic by building strong relationships with families and coordinating services through in-home visits and community resources.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, experience with autism spectrum disorder, and strong computer and communication skills to generate reports and support families across the Gulf Coast region. Hybrid work with regular travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience working with autism spectrum disorder.
• Advanced computer skills to generate reports and analyze data.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make initial contact with new referrals for Autism Home Visitation Services.
• Conduct home visits with families to provide support, assessments, service coordination, and resource guidance.
• Collaborate with the Autism Clinic and Autism Home Visitation team members to support families.
• Attend and participate in monthly Autism Clinic team meetings.
• Develop and maintain a database of family recommendations and assist families in accessing community resources.
• Create and distribute family resource packets.
