Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate covering appropriate area of responsibility.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan programs of study meeting diverse student needs.
• Establish curriculum objectives and development plans.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and communicate objectives.
• Employ instructional methods appropriate to objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Diagnose learning strengths/weaknesses and collaborate with specialists.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents.
• Implement school policies and establish classroom rules.
• Coordinate with support personnel and volunteers.
• Use technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law.
