Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Exceptional Student Education, or related field, OR
• Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
• Valid Florida Educator's Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, OR
• Valid statement of eligibility
• Reading Endorsement preferred. Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize, and implement an instructional program for ESE students through curriculum, lesson plans, educational programs and IEP development.
• Ensure procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and meet regulations.
• Collaborate with specialists and staff to support students with ASD and intense behaviors.
• Possibly teach additional periods with supplemental pay if assigned.

Education
