Job summary

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is seeking an Autistic Educational Support Staff to support individualized and small-group instruction while implementing behavior-analytic strategies. The role includes clerical duties to support the academic program and ongoing progress reporting.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma and completed 40-hour RBT training; paraeducator experience is preferred, and ASD experience is beneficial though not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 40-Hour Online RBT Training completed.
• Paraeducator experience preferred.
• Experience with ASD is beneficial but not required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce instruction to individuals or small groups with behavior-analytic interventions.
• Monitor and report student progress to teachers and supervisors.
• Perform routine clerical duties to support the academic program.
• Set up work areas, displays and exhibits; operate classroom equipment.
• Provide emotional support and general guidance to students.
• Use reinforcement contingencies as directed by staff.
• Direct group activities and supervise students.
• Confer with teachers on programs and materials.
• Help students develop daily living and social skills.
• Notice and communicate changes affecting behavior.
• Document observable and measurable behavioral data.
