Job summary

Grosse Pointe Public School System is seeking an Eastern Region ASD Coach to collaborate with GP Schools, Harper Woods ASD, and the Eastern Region team to enhance educational outcomes for children with autism. Qualifications

• Requires Master’s Degree in education or related field.
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with ASD endorsement or equivalent experience.
• Special Education background and extensive ASD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with districts to improve outcomes for students with autism.
• Provide guidance and professional development to district staff on best practices for ASD.
• Support transitions, eligibility determinations, and IEP decisions for ASD.
• Assist in implementing PBIS and classroom management plans in ASD settings.
• Facilitate development of Peer-to-Peer programs and ACT 18 criteria.
• Contribute to district-wide planning and parental guidance regarding home support.
