Job summary

Eden Autism Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support adults in group homes and day programs in New Jersey. Paid training (2 weeks) and flexible schedules are offered, with opportunities to work in various shifts including weekends and overnights.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, teaching life skills, transport duties, and coordinating with families and supervisors. PCM certification is required or training provided; drivers with a clean record are preferred.

Qualifications

• 19 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (5 points or less).
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
• Move quickly and safely to assist participants when needed.
• PCM certification or willingness to obtain certification (Professional Crisis Management).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Comfortable using an Apple iPad for data collection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of those we support at all times.
• Teach basic life skills (cooking, laundry, cleaning, personal hygiene).
• Assist with daily activities including shopping and recreational activities.
• Drive participants to group homes, day centers, and community activities.
• Track growth and report progress to supervisors.
