Job summary

Eden Autism Services Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support adults in our group homes and day programs in New Jersey. The role includes teaching life skills, ensuring safety, and accompanying clients to activities with a supportive team.

Training is provided and schedules are flexible, with full-time and part-time opportunities. A driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required, along with PCM certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with autism or disabilities is helpful but not required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and willingness to drive participants.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of individuals at all times.
• Teach basic life skills such as cooking, laundry, cleaning and personal hygiene.
• Assist with daily activities and accompany participants to community sites.
• Transport participants to homes, centers and activities as needed.
• Document progress and communicate with families and supervisors.

Eden Autism Services is now hiring Full-Time, and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide support to adults in our group homes and day programs.Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is an advantage, but it’s not a requirement! We provide paid training and you will be working with others as a team. Eden offers a variety of schedules—our employees find this flexibility perfect for their busy lives!Presently the Day Program open positions are located in Hamilton, Plainsboro and West Windsor, NJ. This is subject to change periodically.IMPORTANT: Training 8 am - 4 pm Monday-Friday for 2 weeks in a row is mandatory for the successful applicant no matter which schedule you may be hired for with Eden Autism. Training dates will be discussed with you.General overview of Eden's schedules:Our day centers are located in Hamilton, Plainsboro, and West Windsor.The Day Program schedule is Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm.As a DSP for Eden, your primary responsibilities will include:Ensuring the safety of those we support at all times.Teaching individuals we support basic life skills, such as cooking, laundry and cleaning, and personal hygiene.
