The ideal candidate has EPIC experience, familiar with Work Queues, and at least one year in a medical office handling authorizations. Shift is days (08:30–17:00); local candidates are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Referral processing and handling insurance authorizations.
• Communicate with internal and external medical offices and insurance companies to ensure referrals are processed timely and accurately.
• Perform duties that promote teamwork and align with the health system's mission and values.
• Duties: Referral processing; Obtain insurance authorizations; Scanning and faxing; Prepare/maintain records; Respond to correspondence; Ability to answer a multi-line phone system; Follow policies and procedures; All other duties as assigned.

• Experience Requirements:

• Type of Facility: Office Building. Will be working in a cubicle setting.

Responsibilities

• Referral Specialist initiates a variety of external and internal referral processing and skilled clerical duties in support of the physician offices.
• Communicate with internal and external medical offices and insurance companies to ensure provider referral requests are processed timely and accurately.
• Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of the Health System.
• Duties:
