Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of hospital or physician office or call center experience is preferred.
• Strong insurance knowledge for complex scheduling and authorization.
• Ability to precept and onboard new team members.
• Proven customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• CHAA certification within 2 years of hire (or acquired) is required.

Responsibilities

• Financial clearance of scheduled hospital, surgical, and clinic services.
• Precept new team members for onboarding.
• Identify authorization needs including out-of-network management.
• Interpret payer eligibility and patient financial responsibility.
• Collect and verify patient insurance information and obtain authorization via portals.
• Communicate financial obligation to patients when required.
• Assist in scheduling and ensure appropriate setting of care.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and contribute to onboarding.
