Job summary

Children's Specialized ABA is seeking an Authorization Coordinator to ensure timely third-party payer verifications and authorizations so services can begin promptly. This role reports to the Billing Director and supports credentialing and data entry in our EMR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client verifications and authorizations with third parties.
• Submit authorization requests for single case agreements (SCA) and in-network exceptions.
• Engage clinicians when required by insurers and third-party billing companies.
• Enter data accurately in EMR and other software.
• Notify clinical team of upcoming authorization deadlines and assist with re-authorizations.
