Responsibilities

• Review items, photos, provenance, certificates of authenticity, and other supporting records.
• Identify inconsistencies, signs of alteration, missing documentation, or other concerns that require expert review.
• Track items through the authentication process and maintain clear records of findings and decisions.
• Work with sourcing and operations teams to hold or elevate items with unresolved authenticity concerns.
• Communicate authentication results clearly, including any limitations or outstanding questions.
• Help improve authentication procedures as new counterfeit methods and issues emerge.
