Job summary

Winstead PC in Austin is seeking a lateral Associate with 2–4 years of real estate development and investments experience to join our Austin office. You will handle a range of transactions for developers and national builders, including acquisition, development, and mixed-use projects across Texas and nationally.

The ideal candidate has experience in real estate transactions, leasing matters, and strong drafting skills, with familiarity to the expectations of AmLaw 200 firms.

Qualifications

• Experience with acquisition, disposition, financing and development of commercial real estate.
• Leasing matters experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with the pace and expectations of sophisticated law firm work (AmLaw 200).
• Proficient in complex legal drafting and editing.

Winstead PC is seeking a 2-4 year attorney for a position with ourReal Estate Development & Investments practice group in Austin. This position is a growth position with a clear path toward advancement in the firm. This position will include acquisition, development, and horizontal and vertical mixed-use, residential and commercial planned community work for local, regional and national builders and developers both in Texas and nationally. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• Real Estate Transactions: Experience with the acquisition, disposition, financing and development of commercial real estate.
• Leasing Transactions: Experience with leasing matters preferred but not required.
• AmLaw 200 Experience: Familiarity with the pace and expectations of sophisticated law firm work.
• Writing skills: Candidates should be proficient at complex legal drafting.
