Job Description Summary

Completes day-to-day branch operations ensuring branch associates are providing consistent, high level quality service to our members. Ensure that proper procedures are followed and all documentation and transactions are completed accurately. Fosters a “can do” attitude to successfully promote the school branch and to ensure success of the High School Branch Program. Work both individually and as a team to establish strong member relationships and teach financial literacy to the general student population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets members; assesses their needs and concerns; takes initiative to develop solutions to ensure member satisfaction.
• Provides information and promotes appropriate products and services to match member needs.
• Promotes in-school branch to students through promotions and relationship building to encourage membership growth.
• Performs in-school branch duties such as assisting with opening and closing procedures, practicing branch safety, and general branch operation duties.
• Documents and processes member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, payments and other services.
• Works cooperatively in a team environment and has appropriate balance between individual and team responsibilities.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Experience

• Education Requirements: Required - Part of the relevant school class.
• Experience Requirements: Preferred - Prior customer service or cash handling experience.

Skills and Abilities

Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.

Learn and apply information about Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.

Utilize knowledge and experience in performing job functions.

Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively.

Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others.

Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.

Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

Intermittent standing, sitting, walking, bending and climbing. Using hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate computers and other standard office equipment. Reaching with hands and arms. Intermittent lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Employee works inside a public education facility in a Credit Union branch. Environment requires special security and safety policies inherent in a cash environment.
