Job Summary:

The pay rate listed is $21.19 per hour, which includes a 7.5% shift differential or $1.48 per hour for swing shift hours worked. The pay rate without the shift differential is $19.71 per hour.

As a Custodian II, you will lead a team providing a clean and healthy environment conducive to higher education.

Job Schedule:

This is a swing shift position, working Monday-Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).

Essential Functions:

• Assist custodial staff in cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, and lounges, including trash collection and replacement of liners, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures; wipe furniture, telephones, cabinets, bookshelves, lecterns, and doors; clean glass, mirrors, hand dryers, kick plates, blinds, and window ledges.
• Spot clean carpets, vacuum, mop floors, operate floor machines, strip hardwood floors, and shampoo carpets.
• Order, store, and issue supplies; train new custodial staff; conduct inspections; maintain records of employee time and attendance; attend biweekly lead meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year of full-time janitorial experience.
• Valid unencumbered Colorado driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

• Ability to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift over 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Willingness to work with cleaning agents, withstand exposure to dust and fumes, and perform snow removal duties as needed.
• Successful passing of a physical and psychological exam; provide a motor vehicle report if offered employment.
