Job Description

Job Summary: The pay rate is $21.19/hr, including a 7.5% shift differential ($1.48/hr) for swing shift hours. Without the differential, the pay is $19.71/hr. As a Custodian II, you'll lead a team providing a clean environment conducive to higher education.

Work Schedule: Swing shift, Monday-Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Friday 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Essential Functions:

• Assist custodial staff in cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, lounges; collecting trash; replacing liners, toilet paper, paper towels, soap.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures; wipe furniture, telephones, cabinets, shelves, doors; clean glass, mirrors, hand dryers, kick plates, blinds, window ledges.
• Spot clean carpets, vacuum, mop floors, operate floor machines, shampoo carpets.
• Order, store, and issue supplies; train new staff; inspect cleaned areas; maintain records; attend meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year of full-time janitorial work.
• Valid unencumbered Colorado driver’s license.

Conditions of Employment:

• Ability to stand long periods, kneel, stoop, reach, lift 10-50 lbs.
• Willing to work with dust, fumes, in adverse weather, and perform snow removal.
• Pass physical and psychological exams; maintain valid driver’s license; background check with MVR.
