Job Details

Location: Augusta, GA

Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Responsibilities & Requirements
Inspector:
  • Read construction plans and review for constructability, appropriate materials, and value engineering.
  • Conduct project site inspections for roadway, aviation, utility, and site development projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Document progress with Daily Inspection Reports, including notes, photos, quantities, and weather conditions.
  • Verify materials delivered match approved submittals.
  • Monitor contractor schedules and maintain accurate logs of contract days.
  • Measure and verify quantities of work performed and review payment applications.
  • Communicate project progress and issues to the Project Manager/Engineer.
Technician:
  • Conduct construction material tests (concrete, soil, asphalt, etc.) following relevant standards.
  • Perform aggregate and concrete tests, including moisture content, strength, and other properties.
  • Execute building stone tests for strength and absorption.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed using PPE.
  • Store, log, and dispose of samples appropriately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GDOT and Pile Driving Analysis experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
  • Ability to read construction plans and travel as needed.
  • Inspector Certifications: High school diploma or GED, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, GDOT/CTQP, RTT Certifications (top consideration).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and professional judgment skills.
  • Ability to work on-site, standing for extended periods, and wearing PPE.
