Job summary

Pilkington North America, part of the NSG Group, is seeking an Auditor/Sit Down Forklift Operator with Warehouse Computer Experience for the 3rd shift in Phoenix. You will handle shipping/receiving, pick/pack, and use on-board warehouse computer to ensure accuracy and inventory control.

Responsibility includes inventory reporting, training backups, inbound operations support, and ensuring safety and compliance on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• Recent Sit-Down Forklift experience.
• Quality and auditing experience.
• Knowledge of glass parts and SAP system.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of automotive replacement safety glass products.
• Picking and packing using motorized equipment with on-board computers.
• Generate reports on inventory and production (reconciliation, overs/ shorts, breakage).

Responsible for shipping and receiving automotive replacement safety glass products and supplies; picking and packing glass products for internal and external customers utilizing motorized equipment with on-board computers to ensure order accuracy and inventory control; able to run and create reports relating to inventory and production (reconciliation, overs and shorts, breakage, etc.); assist with internal and external customer questions; perform non-production tasks such as inventory audits, part checks, filing and maintaining shipping documents, schedules, etc.; provide training of backup personnel; other duties as assigned.

Inbound Operations duties include assisting with the daily inbound operation of the assigned shift to ensure the internal and external deliveries, stocking, replenishment, and uncrating processes are carried out by the warehouse personnel in a timely and accurate manner, as required by the current volumes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assigning employees to job tasks for proper completion; safety and incident investigation/ reporting; gathering information and making recommendations on matters involving Pilkington N.A. policies and procedures; ordering supplies, as needed; assisting with training of temporary and regular employees; acting as a replacement for any absence for any position required on shift; act as communications liaison between shift employees and shift supervisor; attend off-shift meetings and training, as required; complete other duties as assigned.

• Quality and auditing experience
• Knowledge of physical attributes of glass parts.
• Demonstrated SAP working knowledge
• Ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of departmental safety, quality and operational procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Recent experience with reach truck, order picker and forklift and maintain appropriate certifications.
• Able to operate hand tools
• Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis
• Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the Phoenix region.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).
• Good customer/vendor relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work overtime on short notice
• Able to work both independently and as a team member.

Qualifications Desired

• 2-3 years of recent Materials Handling Equipment experience
• Basic Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Operating Excellence principles and processes

Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $21.50, based on experience

Schedule: Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 8:00pm - 4:30am
