Job summary

NSG Group/Pilkington North America is seeking a warehouse general labor candidate to assemble crates and racks, inspect packaging, and manage stock for production. Willingness to operate at night, lift up to 70 lbs, and work both independently and in a team is essential.

Position includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), education assistance, and paid holidays. Overtime may be required; safety and quality procedures apply throughout.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/carry 35–45 lbs on average and up to 70 lbs daily.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the facility.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Packaging - Assemble wood crates and metal racks.
• Disassemble wood and corrugated boxes and dispose of them.
• Stock variety of packaging materials for production use.
• Uncrating – Inspect & open wood and corrugated crates to be hung on shelves.
• Look up part information in SAP on desktop computer.
• Redist: Repack damaged crates.
• Redist: Quality and inventory management.
• Banding - Working with wooden or metal crates getting product ready to be shipped

Primary Duties:

• Packaging - Assemble wood crates and metal racks.

Qualifications Required:

• Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis


• Able to use hand tools


• Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the facility


• Excellent attendance record.


• Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).


• Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).


• Able to work both independently and as a team member.


• Completes other duties as necessary.

Qualifications Desired:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• 1-2 years prior warehouse general labor experience.


• Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality and operational procedures.


• Basic personal computer skills.

Essential Functions:

Hourly Pay: $18.50

Schedule: Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 10:45pm - 6:45am, plus some mandatory overtime starting at 8:45pm
