Job summary

County of Chester is seeking an Auditor II to assist in financial audits, attestation engagements, and operational reviews as required by County Code and management.

The role involves preparing financial statements, identifying control weaknesses, and supporting the annual audit plan. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 1–3 years of audit experience, with travel within Chester County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of external, internal and/or government audit experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and GAGAS.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting financial audits of county departments and agencies as mandated.
• Assist in attestation engagements and special reviews.
• Assist in preparing financial statements with GAAP/GAS disclosures.
• Identify and report internal control weaknesses and non-compliance.
• Review and update Internal Audit policies and programs.
• Support fraud investigations and annual risk assessments.
• Participate in development and implementation of the annual audit plan.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
