Chester County in Pennsylvania seeks an Auditor II to assist in financial audits, attestation engagements, and operational reviews as required by County Code or county management. The role supports GAAP and GAGAS compliance and helps identify internal control weaknesses across county entities.

The position requires a bachelor's in accounting, 1–3 years of audit experience, and the ability to travel within the county to conduct audits. Proficiency in MS Office and CAAT tools is expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of external/internal/government audit experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and GAGAS.
• Working knowledge of internal audit processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ethics.
• Ability to travel within Chester County for audits.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in conducting financial audits of County Magisterial District Courts, Row Offices, and other departments and agencies.
• Assist in attestation engagements and special reviews as required.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures per GAAP and GAGAS.
• Identify and report internal control weaknesses and inefficiencies.
• Assist in updating Internal Audit policies and procedures.
• Assist Audit Manager in investigating fraud tips via hotline or other channels.
• Assist in annual risk assessment of auditable entities.
• Participate in audit plan development and implementation.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
