Job summary

Welch, Couch & Company, PA is seeking an Auditor to join our assurance team, working directly with clients and firm leadership on a range of engagements. This hands-on role offers real client responsibility and a clear path for advancement.

You will plan and perform audits, reviews, and compilations across industries, prepare and review workpapers and financial statements, test internal controls, and communicate findings. Travel is limited; CPA progression is welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field with sufficient accounting coursework).
• 2+ years of public accounting audit/assurance experience.
• CPA license or active progress toward the CPA.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites (travel is limited).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Planning and performing audit, review, and compilation engagements across a range of industries
• Preparing and reviewing workpapers, financial statements, and related disclosures
• Testing internal controls and identifying areas of risk
• Communicating findings and recommendations to clients and engagement leaders
• Staying current on GAAP, GAAS, and relevant regulatory standards
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of less-experienced team members as appropriate
