Provides professional support to the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement and Special Investigations branch by planning and conducting investigations involving the examination of financial records and other related records to determine whether violations of policies, rules, regulations and laws have occurred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist other law enforcement agencies with investigative matters.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting).

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of accounting, auditing, investigative, management, or computer science experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Certification as Certified Public Accountant will substitute for the required education and three years of the required experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
